Amna Hassan is a product designer-turned-marketer. She strongly believes in empowering the community and started her professional career in the social impact sector. She has successfully demonstrated her design expertise in several projects such as “Youth for Education Conference” by U.S Consulate, “Heritage Now” by British Council and “Beyond the Buzz’, Pakistan’s most comprehensive research on the startup ecosystem of Pakistan. Attending the three week Rajeev Circle Fellowship allowed her to explore the maker culture in Silicon Valley. She also explored the impact sector in New Zealand sponsored by DFAT. Rahnumai aims to increase higher education enrollment, especially for students who do not have direct access to universities across Pakistan. Rahnumai has launched "Rahnumai Skills" a skills development program based on real-world learning. Rahnumai Skills offers more than just one area of expertise bringing everything that your university degree leaves out.
The first class in this week would introduce the students to the concept of "Design" covering its basics and principles. It will also cover Photoshop basics (Vector vs Bitmap/Raster Graphics, Understanding Interface, Artboard/Canvas, Setting up a doc, Resolution, Color modes (RGB/CMYK), Image Orientation, Cropping). The second class would dive into various tools, followed by learning transformation, exporting files, and understanding colour.
The first class in this week would focus on acing selection tools, and mastering layers (Layer Style, Blending Options, Grouping Layers, Inserting Layer). The next class would cover Properties such as Alignment, Guide Lines, Balance, followed by Photo and Manipulation tools.
The first class would cover Photography basics, and deal with colour correction (Adjustment Tools, Lights & Shadows, Treating, Raw Images, Filters, Gradients). The second class would deal with Retouching (skin treatment), and introduce you to Type Tool (Charatcer & Paragraph), Typface vs Font, Sarif vs San-Sarif, Leading, Tracking, & Kerning, Alignment, Text Transformation (distortion), and Downloading Fonts.
The two classes this week would cover logo design and marketing collateral respectively.
